I have a lifetime of being a flower child, an observer, a free spirit, and a humanitarian. I have a degree in social sciences and interpersonal relationships. I photograph the joy of human connections and transform their experiences into art because I am thoroughly a lover of humans. Some of my most important captures include special yet delicate pieces of life, such as: children, elderly, animals, plants and above all - love. It is genuinely important and brings me joy to photograph human connection and our connections to the world around us.

gypsy lemon photography and vintage super 8 film by kayla elizabeth

Hi, I’m Kayla.

We are all museums of art just waiting to be captured.
I am here to capture the big and the small moments that are monumental. My experience began in the editorial model industry in Miami in 2013 where I learned fashion, lighting, and posing. I bought my first camera in 2019 where I captured landscape photography across North America, South America, and Europe. It wasn’t until I began photographing couples, weddings and families that I became passionate about photography.

A Film Oriented Photographer

For the timeless nostalgic lovers

I am blessed with my photography journey. I still can't believe I get to capture the most sacred moments. I am eternally grateful people have trusted me with these precious memories. As a photographer that began with Film and Super 8, I understand that sometimes moments can only be captured once. From working with 35mm film and Super 8 video, I have become extremely detail oriented to ensure the large and small moments are captured with care and clarity.

I began my professional career as a photographer by capturing elopements and weddings with film cameras from the 60’s and 70’s. I will always have a love for fashion and nature but nothing brings me to tears faster than human connection. I can be seen crying over the exchanging of vows, and with tissues editing family or maternity portraits.
